I get the usual thank you’s from my clients after I do their makeup. Most of them couldn’t stop thanking their photographers or coordinators in public, but the makeup artist is almost always forgotten after the event. Only a few go the extra mile by posting on facebook their feedback on the people who prettified them.
Aveline is one of those brides who gave me an unexpected pat in the back with her kind (not to mention humorous) words: “hi doc grace! thank you for making me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. you’re the nxt person to thank after my husband:) im so glad i had u, u did an awesome job! everyone is happy and ill be forever grateful to you:)”
To Aveline, thank you for one of the best compliments I’ve received as a makeup artist. You and your entourage were already beautiful to begin with. My job was just to make it more obvious.
