Aveline and her Entourage

I get the usual thank you’s from my clients after I do their makeup. Most of them couldn’t stop thanking their photographers or coordinators in public, but the makeup artist is almost always forgotten after the event. Only a few  go the extra mile by posting on facebook their feedback on the people who prettified them.

Aveline is one of those brides who gave me an unexpected pat in the back with her kind (not to mention humorous) words: “hi doc grace! thank you for making me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. you’re the nxt person to thank after my husband:) im so glad i had u, u did an awesome job! everyone is happy and ill be forever grateful to you:)

To Aveline, thank you for one of the best compliments I’ve received as a makeup artist. You and your entourage were already beautiful to begin with. My job was just to make it more obvious. :) I’m glad that you liked our output. May you have a blessed married life with your  husband and wonderful kids!

Wedding: Carrot and Hadj

Carrot’s cousin, Audrey (who was a former client), booked the bride as early as December 2009. Carrot is presently based in Manila, working as the marketing manager for La Mer and Bobbi Brown Philippines. Sticking with the Bobbi Brown principles of makeup, I had to keep her look natural yet glowing.

Carrot got married to Hadj, who hails from Pangasinan. Their love story which evolved from friendship was sealed with matrimonial vows last June 26, 2010 at the San Lorenzo Parish in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro. Bridal preparations were done at the Mallberry Suites, while the Urban- themed reception was held at Dynasty Court Hotel Grand Ballroom. Flower Matters, the event stylist for this occasion, magically transformed the ballroom into a chic city.

The funky photographer, Bon Aserios, magnificently captured their precious moments, as shown below.

Wedding: Nikka and Jeremy

After the release of their breath-taking prenuptial photos, Nikka and Jeremy shine anew in these photos during their wedding day. None other than master lensman Dustein Sibug captured the special moments, making their day a whole lot more memorable.

Donned in a Benjie Manuel Gown, Nikka knows how to work her way through the camera. Every angle, every pose, speaks the language of a radiant bride. Thanks to her for trusting me completely on her bridal makeup. Hair was done by Jeanette of Vida Salon.

The wedding was held at Mount Carmel Church in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. Reception followed at the Xavier Estates Sports and Country Club, with the lavish event styling of Flower Matters.
